Meet the Team

Murray Hudson joined his father at Gratnells in 2000. He had previously obtained a Degree in Design Engineering at Loughborough University before working as a BBC journalist for 10 years. He now shamelessly uses his two children as models for Gratnells products. They are on this website in many places...can you work out which pair they are?

Peter Mayo joined Gratnells in 1989 as an Accountant having spent the previous 8 years learning his trade in the travel, food manufacturing and engineering industries. When he doesn't have his head buried in the Financial Times he enjoys scuba diving, golf and watching all sports. Blue is definitely the colour!
 

If you need to know anything about Gratnells products Ann Mitchell is the person to ask. Ann has been a key member of the Gratnells Customer Service team for 12 years. When not hard at work Ann enjoys walking and travelling. She is friendly and always willing to help so please call with any questions you may have.

Tony has recently joined the team at Gratnells and is responsible for sales development.  He will be happy to chat you you about our wide range of products.  Tony lives in the historic town of Thaxted, North Essex in a 300 year old cottage full of oak beams and spiders. In his spare time he is involved in the local music scene which varies from Morris Men to rock bands.

Robert has spent most of his career in international trade and speaks an impressive array of languages. As a graduate Member of the Institute of Export he is more than happy to answer your CIF, LCL questions with ease. In his spare time he is an athletics official and qualified swimming teacher.

Gill works with Robert processing all orders outside the UK. She has been involved in export for several years and has attended many seminars and training courses on export procedures and documentation. She will be pleased to help you with any questions.

So processes the UK Sales Orders and deals with any product and price queries that customers may have. She has been with Gratnells for five years. In her spare time she is a qualified Complementary Therapist and a Hobbyist of Sugar Craft & Cake Decorating.

Linda is a member of our Customer Services team dealing with your enquiries. Linda joined Gratnells in 2003 after many years in the Legal Department of a City based insurance company. She enjoys travelling, walking, gardening and keeping fit at the gym.
 

David knows a thing or two about planning the perfect school science Prep Room. Every day he is out and about helping school science departments design, plan and equip their storage areas. Peter is based in Belfast and has represented Gratnells since 1972. His talents include the design and marketing of contract furniture and storage, and he is a familiar figure in the planning departments of Local Authorities. Dave King is our Factory Manager. He has been with us for nine years and oversees the running of the entire factory operation. Dave is a lifelong supporter of Tottenham Hotspur (but we still like him).

Peter has been working at Gratnells for ten years and assists Dave with the running of the factory. Between them they make sure all orders are processed smoothly, quickly and efficiently. Peter is also in charge of sourcing materials for the factory. He is a keen golfer in his free time.

Kermit is the person who makes sure all our metal products are produced to the highest quality standards. He has been a key member of the Gratnells team for 24 years. Not only does he make sure Gratnells products keep up our award-winning standards he continues his award-winning record on his days off. He is currently the Masters World Record holder for the 4 x 400 relay and the current European Champion 400m runner.

Steve is our injection moulding expert. He oversees our top of the range machinery and makes sure all our trays are produced to the highest possible quality. When he's not overseeing the pistons he can be found pumping iron at the gym.

Paul makes sure all your orders are dispatched to you as smoothly and quickly as possible.  When he is not knee deep in pallets and delivery paperwork he finds some time to support West Ham (well, somebody has to).

Mark helps Paul to organise the vast amount of orders which are despatched from our factory daily.  When he's not hard at work he enjoys spending time with his family.

If you need any images of Gratnells products, or help with catalogue page layouts Kat is the person to call. She has been a graphic designer for five years. Kat's favourite thing is her cat but she also loves to socialise and swim.
