Since the mid 1980s when Gratnells first designed and produced our iconic School storage tray we have continued to innovate and develop fresh and exciting designs to offer affordable and adaptable systems to suit many storage requirements.
We currently employ the services of Award-winning designer Chris Dolan from reVerb as our in-house new product development designer. Having our own in-house designer has allowed Gratnells to create fresh and original products which are market leading innovations. From initial concepts through to 3D-CAD and Design for Manufacture Chris' approach is thoughtful and analytical. He creates original, yet realistic, design solutions even when presented with the most challenging of project briefs.
Chris' first project for Gratnells began in August 2013 when we commissioned him to design a modular storage system that was eventually launched as Callero. Callero was conceived as a modular classroom storage system that was safe enough for primary school classrooms. It had to be totally flat packed and put together using simple tools.
Following the success of Callero, other projects were developed and added to the range - including the Worlddidac award-winning MakerSpace Trolley - along with the two versions of the ground-breaking PowerTray.
