BioCoteĀ® antimicrobial additive 

BioCoteĀ® antimicrobial technology is introduced to products during the manufacturing process to provide built-in antimicrobial protection for the product’s lifetime. BioCoteĀ® technology has been tested according to British Standard BS 6920:2014 and has been shown not to leach from or wash out of treated materials. It is also resistant to exposure to commonly used cleaning disinfectants. BioCoteĀ® antimicrobial technology is compliant with UK and European Biocidal Products Regulation (GB BPR).

BioCoteĀ® technology is based on globally trusted silver ion additives that have been proven effective against a wide range of bacteria and mould. BioCote has been shown in laboratory conditions to reduce the presence of bacteria such as E.coli and MRSA by up to 86% within 15 minutes, up to 99.5% within 2 hours, and up to 99.9% within 24 hours. The additive acts against microbes that contaminate surfaces by causing protein damage, cell membrane damage, oxidative damage, and DNA interference. These mechanisms effectively disrupt microbial activity, reducing the overall microbial load on treated surfaces.
