Key Account Manager, Iberia

Duarte Ortigão Sanches is our new dedicated Key Account Manager for Iberia. He brings extensive experience from his work in the education sector across Portugal and Spain. With a strong background in building relationships and understanding customer needs, Duarte is dedicated to strengthening partnerships and driving growth in the region.

A true people person, Duarte enjoys building connections and immersing himself in different cultures. When not at work, you’ll likely find him staying active, spending quality time with family and friends, or planning his next travel adventure.

Andrei Andronic

New Business and Key Account Manager, Nordics, Eastern Europe, Near East and Asia Pacific

Andrei is responsible for sales and business development into Eastern Europe, Nordics and the Near East countries. He has experience working in these markets and enjoys the challenge of bringing Gratnells products to them. He loves travelling, interacting with people of diverse cultural backgrounds and discovering new cuisines. In his spare time he enjoys long walks, cycling and baking.

Murray Hudson

Managing Director & Chairman

Murray Hudson is the Managing Director and Chairman of Gratnells.

Murray joined the company in 2000 after a successful career as a senior broadcast journalist at the BBC.

He is the co-author of the best-selling book Planning Learning Spaces, published by Lawrence King, and is a contributor to other leading publications on the learning environment. He speaks regularly across the world, and works with education trade bodies both in the UK and the USA. Murray is currently on the board of BESA (British Educational Suppliers Association), the UK trade body that represents school suppliers. He is also chairman of the British Educational Furniture Manufacturers Group. Murray received a leadership award from the US Education suppliers trade body EdMarket.

He splits his time between Cambridge and London, and spends most Sundays on his bike.

Gavin Maragh

Finance Director

Gavin’s real strengths go beyond numbers – they are his passion for the art of financial prosperity and his emotional savvy.

A natural with people, he forms deeper connections with customers and colleagues than your typical FD. He collaborates closely with our MD Murray, hailed as our visionary artist, while Gavin is the skilled craftsman who turns those creative ideas into reality with structure and financial acumen.

With a razor-sharp mind for data interpretation, he plays a key role in advancing our transformational journey towards significant sustainable growth.

A future-focused Board member, Gavin embodies our company values and is involved in all aspects of the business, fearlessly addressing any challenge that come his way to maintain and nurture confidence within the company.

Off duty Gavin can often be found with his head buried in a towering stack of books but even more often you will find him at the bar buying the beers to celebrate teamwork.

Andy Wilson

Chairman & Non-Executive Director

Introducing Andy, an experienced leader renowned for enabling companies to achieve bold growth in global markets.

Andy offers a distinct approach to strategic planning and transformation, creating ambitious yet achievable roadmaps for success. At the core of his philosophy is the belief that successful businesses are built on the foundations of great people, efficient processes, and the right systems – offering solutions that solve people’s problems through products or services.

His exceptional track record of delivering tangible results on a global scale includes being honoured with The Queen’s Award for Outstanding Achievement in International Trade on two occasions. Committed to continual personal growth, Andy is also pursuing a master’s degree, demonstrating his dedication to lifelong learning.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Andy enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, cycling, exploring the world with his wife, and even squeezing in the odd round of golf.

Eve Lamb

Commercial Partnerships Manager

Eve is a commercial partnerships and growth specialist with over a decade of experience opening new markets, developing emerging verticals, and building long‑term customer relationships across public and private sectors.

She plays a key role in expanding Gratnells beyond traditional channels, identifying new opportunities, nurturing early‑stage conversations, and turning them into sustainable commercial partnerships. Eve is particularly experienced in navigating complex buying environments and longer decision cycles, often working internationally and across multiple stakeholders.

Her background includes leading global business development initiatives, supporting new market entry, scaling international distributor networks, and growing account value through thoughtful, structured expansion. She works closely across teams to ensure partnerships are set up for long‑term success.

Customer‑focused and commercially grounded, Eve is passionate about understanding how customers operate and ensuring what Gratnells delivers truly fits their world. She brings clarity, momentum, and a collaborative mindset to every relationship – helping customers explore new possibilities and grow with confidence.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time outdoors, particularly walking and gardening. She also has a keen interest in travel, along with a love of reading and painting. Horses have long been a passion of hers, and she enjoys riding whenever the opportunity arises.
